Mikey, is your nova lowered at all?

yeah 40mm but stripped-out rear means the back is sitting at normal height. The front is about right imo, every now and then the tyres hit the wings which is why they now look a bit curvy

They look cool Mikey.
Which wing do they hit? The front?
Could just roll the lip up, my front wings are rolled, and my 15s are fine on the front.
But they catch the back sometimes,Lol.

the fronts hit, was going to fold the lip back on itself but the wings are just fooooked now, it's mainly due to the firestone tyres I have, 195/50x15 but they have really thick sidewalls, great for avoiding light kerb damage and quite grippy but obviously don't suit standard arches! No problem on the back thanks to putting in new arches and getting rid of the lips.

cheers guys deffo going to go for the cav wheels i reckon, in white.

i had some 17s on mine before, lowered 30mm on the front and 60mm on the back, but after a bit of heavy cornering they made my front arches look a bit curvy as well, haha,

is the 195 45 15, tyre going to fit the best?

has anybody ever had a set of cavvy wheels diamond cut??

195 45 15s will fit on a cavvy rim no problems (this tyre fitment requires a minimum of 6 inch rims according to Toyo). The 45 profile will give you a solid ride with little sidewall flex, but if you have a hard suspension set up I recommend 195 50 15 like mikey sr has, these will give you slightly sofer ride and fill the arch nicely. Cost is also an issue, go to www.mytyres.co.uk (http://www.mytyres.co.uk) to get quotes on these two fitments (for tyres only) and compare it to what kwik fit will charge you!

195/45 will give the best clearence, though they may be a bit more expensive.

ive got cav gsi rims on my nova running 195/50/15 and with only 1 person sitting in the back thay rub the arches so 195/45/15 should be fine

ive had the front and the back arches rolled and slightly flared alredy to fit the 17s, so the 195/50 sould fit with no probs.

does it make any difference on size choice when running a xe engine ? the front is lowered 300 mm

see what you mean about the price of the tyres as well

I have 195/45/15 tyres, and if i hit a big bump with someone in the back, they catch the outer arch slightly.
