i cut the nipple off and threaded it through the linkage
then used a solderless knipple on the end
depends on the linkage you have

i used one from my sri just trimmed it down but mine has got a nut so i just tightened it round that it holds fine but could really do with a decent cable. i took my choke off

You dont need the chokes.

You don't need to use both throttle cables either.

I just have one throttle cable pulling dual linkages and it's absoultly fine.

However im getting it rebuilt and i may as well use both of them this time

so you need cut the outer cable to get the cable to pull properly how much do u cut off a rough guess?
think i ll use a barrel adjuster off motor bike an pinch bolt to pull cable through

i d like to use chokes i was thinking of use a cable an yoke from old cantilever mountian bike brakes an connect it to choke cable?
