Has anyone on here ever split the lenses off a nova rear light? Ive bought a euro cluster from germany but the bottom bit where the bolt screws in is broke off, so i was considering heating the lights up and sticking the bottom half of the euro light into my uk spec cluster.

Hey presto fully working euro spec lights lol.

Can anyone advise the safest way to do this without f**king up the lights

hair dryer them so the glue goes soft and not as sticky then just pull them out. thats what i did when i put the clear bottom bits in the standard one's.

I found it almost impossible to split up a rear light destroyed loads trying!

Is it that hard to do? Did you use the hairdryer method?

5 mins in oven at 200 is the general rules for spliting lights, but don't take it as gospel!!

If I had the euro cluster as a spare or indeed just want the lens, then I'd grind the housing away until the lens is left.

practice on a few regular sets as it doesnt matter if you destroy them as they are like ****holes
