dont think so as flip paint works due to the shape of the particles - prism shaped which is why they look different at different angles - you could always put a coloured pearl in some laquer tho

^ Yep, the second layer of metallic paint would just cover up the lower layer.

Pearl in the lacquer is an interesting idea, that could give a good effect... thats if the paint would mix ok with the lacquer?

You can buy small tubes of coloured pearl that you just add to laquer, like a tinter, works better over a white basecoat etc, obviously spray cans would be akward but could one of these specialists not make one up to try?

I use the pearl powders from ebay regularly. Have to say they are very effective. If anyone wants i can recommend an ebay seller with a great range of different colour pearls and they are 1st class quality but very resonably priced. U need to experiment alot with them, as different pearls over different colours will create a totally diff colour. You can also mix the pearls, but best to do it not all at once but in different coats. A good tip i found useful is after you spray your pearl lacquer, put 2 more coats of clear lacaquer over the top, it really helps the colour when cutting back with G3 after flattening, other wise your removing some of the pearl. BTW you'd want to be leaving this 3 days to fully cure before fitting, or use an oven, if not then rockect in the 2k lacquer helps alot. One more thing is that, when i apply the extra two coats of clear, i always wait a couple of hours to spray after you have given your last coat of pearl, don't wait to long because the surface will be to smooth to stick lacquer to, you just want it abit dry but still tacky. sorry 4 the long post, maybe it will help someone though.
