my mum have very thoughtfully said she'll retrim my seats in leather for me (she has super-duper mega sowing machine) But she wants a patten cause she doesn't want to spend ages measuring the old seat trim. So, has anyone got one??

lol.
Im doing this at the moment.
go down the scrappys and find any seat the same as yours-the more fag burns rips etc the cheaper it will be. Take off the covers (which is a b*tch to do thanks to stupid little metal clips ) unpick the stitching and use the panels as templates.
You need to take the old covers apart anyway coz u need the pieces of wood and strips of metal to attatch to the new covers ( you will see what i mean when u take them off) so you can put the new covers onto the seats. Thats the way i, and other people i know and how some trimmers do it as well.
Its not that hard to do-if u have the patience and take your time it will look real good and be a hell of a lot cheaper than a trimmer would charge to do it.
If u need any more help give us a shout.

i found surgical forceps(like small mole grips) were handy for clamping the metal bars together when refitting, and i binned the round metal clips as they were too much hassle and used string.

what is the best material other than leather? I want mine to be more of a fabric type texture.

I wouldn't mind doint mine in something totally inapropriate (spelling?) something like rubber, wet suit material or something like that... would look good and be comfy, just might get a bit hot in the sun... anyone who has worn a wet suit for a long time on a sunny day will know just how hot they get...

I'm also in the process of doing this.

I'm not doing a full re-trim....just the centre panels on my SR front seats, so make 'em mach the original Antibes interior.

Here's a pic of the centre panels "mocked-up"....the fabric is just sat in place in the pic to see what It'd look like.

lmao - gimp dungeon - Since when did gimps wear wet suits - they use pvc and shiney rubber - wet suits are matt - and about 4mm think usually - quite spongy so it would be really comfy.

THem seats look nice rich.
