OMP road roll cages, suitable for track use?

As the title says, surely there safer than no cage at all, i'm only thinking this because i'm building my track car, but it is to a budget.

i have an omp full cage, as long as it has a cage number it should be ok, have a look at the msa web site.

Im not sure, IIRC most OMP cages are "Show cages"
Its still got to add more strength than no cage tho :)

If its FIA approved, it'll be suitable for the track.

I think the vast majority of OMP are suitable. Dan has one in his I believe.

For track days its ok but if you want to enter competitive races scruiteers will make sure you have a motorsport approved cage and that all mounting points have been properly fitted.

Yup, thats what i've read in a few catalogues that sell certain OMP cages.

Breeny, get on rallyused parts etc and flog it on.... even if you only ge ta little bit back for it.

That explains why the ones i saw said Show only then.
I'll have a look in Demon tweeks see if they sell the proper ones.

i have a "real" one in my corsa, its FIA approved. They do make show ones though, i asked this question last yea as i wasnt sure they did proper cages.

it would be just for track days mate. I can't really see a problem, as said i would rather have any roll cage then not have one at all.
