Hello.
Part of my Nova rebuild includes lowering the tie bar brackets.
As we know, to do some envolves filing the single upwards. See picture, the original hole is marked by the red circle. Having enlarged the hole, I need to know how far I can take it - see the green box.
Therefore the question is;
How much lip should there be (safely) above the bolt hole?

Realise I will need a spacer machined - not an issue.
