What is involved in fitting a GSi head to my SRi engine and what would the benefits be if any???

Dont think there would be a benefit.
The heads are almost exactly the same IIRC.

No. Not sure it will fit but the C14SE head is known to be rather restrictive.

I would say a nice gain would be had from swapping assuming the ports match up etc (my doubts).

I've heard the 1.2 head gives benefits with compression.......Rumour??????

if you have a c14se theres no point in swapping the head for one from a different size engine. Get the head you have worked up. Craig, the 14se head is probably the best flowing head in standard form, you're confusing yourself with the 14nv head as fitted to carbed SR's, thats the crap one.

Yup,as mikey said.
The C14se is a good flowing head, with round ports, same as the GTE/GSI head, it also has larger valves than 14nv etc to make up for the restrictive cat.
Dont think the GTE/GSi would give any gains tho, i think a GTE head would lower compressiom slightly.
Stick with the SRI head.
