Hey everybody...

I am looking to get either a mk1 GTE or mk2 GSi but have been unable to decide which to go for!! Just wondering if anyone can offer some advice or reasons that will persuade me to opt for one over the other?? i.e pros and cons of both models??

Thanks!! :)

Both basically the same, only difference is the looks and interior really, although the last of the GSi's had a different engine. Not much difference in performance in them though. If it was me looking, I would buy the best condition of whichever I found and wouldn't limit myself to one!

personally id go for a mk2 GSI in Silk Violet. also i noticed today while i was a scrap yard taking bits off a flair (like a SRI without the engine and the front sports seats) that the inner wings have sealent on the common places of rot i.e strut tops. but thats beside the point

also like novatek said, much better interior :)

I'm going to be different here and say that I reckon that you should choose the GTE... but that's only because I prefer the way they look.
The GSi would probably be easier to maintain though.

i'd always take a GTE over a GSI.

It'd be selfish and rude to get anything other than a mk1.
