Have a look at the folia tech dash paints, I have not used them, so I dont know how good they are.
I would just have the whole lot in black GSi style.

folia tech dash paints are really good as ive used them before for steering wheels ect

Ive seen some funky folia tec colours, could always colour code the dash to the car, but all depends on taste.
How about getting it flocked in black? Rally slag style, would like that myself.

flocked costs quite a bit tho mate. I cant colour code it 2 the colour of my car as im having it resprayed but not sure what colour yet lol

oh dunno then, anything else I thought about were quite costly such as having it covered in alacantara leather, getting it fibregalssed so it can be colour coded or as nova-norm said, carbon fibre sheets heat moulded & bonded to your current dash.
I'll ask some mates for some ideas, would be quite nice to see what this dash turns out to be like.

dont spray the dash - the vynal is spongey and it will crack eventyally. If you intend to paint it black use special vynal dye. halfords do it. Test a small area 1st though.

Avoid highlighting plastics in garish colours - IMO looks dated and tacky. Unless you do it small like chrome the vent edges and knobs.

You could do what I'm planning and strip the vynal off and then make a custom dash by building it up with resin/fibreglass...make somethig intersting...

Bin the passenger side part of the dash completely and make a shelf with something original on it - I dunno - wide screen telly or summut.

Do something different

if you want to spray it black or red etc halfords do a vinyl paint which is flexible - about 8 quid a can - one should be enough tho, gives a nice finish - ive done it to two of my dashboards.

Sprayed up my door cards in the saloon with that - they were similar (if not the same) material to the Mk2 dash covering. Couple tins and it gave good results. Just make sure you give them a damned good clean first to remove and grease.

Did use normal spray or folia tech spray?
Those meshed holes would look kinds funky if you had a blue glow coming from inside & reflecting on the mesh.
Looks good so far!

Im liking that a lot. Try to carry on the theme throughout, a few meshed slices in the top of the dash maybe, and some more silver on the black (but dont over do it). You could use the same technique to do speaker grills as well.

(god i miss having interior lol)
