Alright everyone, hows it going? Haven't been on here for ages!
nova had a mis-fire on cylinder 4, so i stripped it down and the piston has melted. how gutted am i? The bored is ok so iv orders a new one plus a set or rings. thing is whilest its of the road i was going to sort some things out like wiring and try to hide it all and also i want to remover the bulkhead top part. is it easy to to and do i leave about 10-20mm to roll over and seam seal?

lots of us have removed the bulkhead pannel. its easy just bear in mind how much you want to remove when it comes to the wiper motor location... i left mine on in that part. but cut the rest out. left about 10mm and ran a weld along the top. Job done

So after welding, you jst paint it to stop rot?

essentially yes. i resprayed the car anyway lol.

you can run that seal strip along the top too if you wish
