Lumpy 8v gte

Hi,
I have purchased a mint condition 1989 nova gte 8v, the only exception being the engine is a bit lumpy up to about 50mph, it starts no problem and goes well over 50 mph, i'm not sure when it was last serviced, could this be the problem, or could it do with a tune up?
any replies welcome.......

start with the usual plugs leads rotor arm and dizzy cap and see if that cures it fella:thumb:
