Is glass from a 1.2 or 1.0 different to that of a gsi gte sr sri e.t.c apart from the top tint windscreen.

only difference I know off is clear, brown or green tint.

GTE,GSI,SR,SRI is all green tinted apart from if you have a Nova SR in jamacian yellow and a brown interior in which case the glass will be brown tinted.

It's not just the Jamican yellow SR's that had brown tinted glass, it's the early Novas, from 83 to 86!!:thumb:

yeah most of the lower spec models have the brown tint, green was pretty much standard on sports models, but I think it was optional L's and GL's. From what I can remember luxe+ have green aswell.

i alwayz thought the the lower model nova's just had clear glass??? :confused:

Sorry should have made that clearer in my first post!! The early Nova's SR's and GL's etc would have had brown tinted glass as standard. Base models and L's had clear glass AFAIK. They then changed the tint from green to brown around 86/87 I think. Mantas were the same as well, the earlier models came with brown tinted glass, whereas the last models came with green.

my 91 flair had a greeney grey tinted screen (not sure about the rest of the glass) till i was a cheapskate and replaced with a clear one
