View Full Version : cuttin out letters in fibreglass

ive got sum m3 skirts on order and should be gettin them shortly, but i want to make um abit diff. Wat i want is to cut out the words nova sr in the rear of the skirt then put mesh behind it, ive sin an gtt in a mag wiv gt turbo cut into his bumper how would i go about doin this in some fibreglass skirts or where could i get it done cheers

what you need is a dremmel little cutter thing and plenty ov time

sounds good, i know ppl have embossed logos into bumpers and stuff b4 but aint seen many done like this .... OMG like micky says....original & good idea :D

i would hav emailed one of the admin about it - kept it to myself more until it was done so no-one can jump in and copy b4 its done!

well i supose i go to this site to share my ideas to fellow nova owners i would like to think that they'd share there ideas wiv me to, the more ideas we share the better every1's novas look and i suppose thats wat its all bout:)

nice idea m8 i say get the text u want printed up in vinyl and stick um on 2 the skirts then do ask mickey said and get one of those dremmel drills and slowly remove the lettering .should work a treat

Already done it!!! to a set of novadose skirts for a mate!

as Micky says, a little dremmel is your best bet...spend as long as u can marking out the letters perfectly (i only had to do 'GTE' so 'nova sr' should take a bit longer obviously)

watch out though, i fucked up the 'T' and had to get the fibre glass out! doh!

i'll try and get a piccy to put on the site Micky...
