Between the battery and the amps, or if you're running multiple batteries, between the last battery and the amps.

hi mate you run a lead from your car battery live to the powercap normaly the amp power wire then from the powercap to the amp live then you run a earth screwed or bolted into the chassis to the powercap then the earth from the amp also goes to the powercap make sure you connect the earths up first then to charge the powercap you usualy get a bulb with a wire attached to each end you temporarily connect that from the live from the battery to the powercap live and the bulb will light up then fade when powercap charged if you dont get a bulb with it make your own with a bit of wire an a side repeater bulb and yes the powercap does work i had one on mine it was a 2 farad powercap dont buy a cheap and nasty one though look to spend around 100/150 pound to see a real benifit and it stopped the lights dimming etc etc if you havent already got one try the car audio centre in notts:thumb:
thanks ill think ill be getting one for my install ( 1 sub! is a 15" and drains loadsa power tho) plus it looks good but im not much with electrics, i do wiring etc as ive done all wiring on my car but fareds??? what the hell is that all about?! i assume a 2 fared is better than a 1 fared! lol so which should i get?

hi mate farad,s are all to do with the amount of power that can be stored in the powercap and delivered to the amp /sub for a 15" sub i would go for a 1.5 /2 farad powercap also if you buy a cheap one that says 1 farad chances are it will not last long and it will only be actualy around 0.75 farad if that hope this helps:thumb:
