i got a 1.6 v gas flowed and t40s wanna put a cam but unsure of which ive been told 270 degree but some one else said 300. the 270 is ment b between 3500 n 6500?just need some advice plz guys

270 is very very very mild...

imho you want something between 285 (kent AST2) and a 300 (piper BP300)
both of those cams do wonderfull things for the 1600 (and NO they dont have lumpy idles nor do they have to be screaming to make peak power etc.)

Where can you get head work done then? Gonna put new head and twin 40s on my 1.4 soon so as its off........what can be done and how much will it cost and increase bhp? thanks

no offence, start your own thread lol.
i think there is a company called cylinder head performance (or some mix of those three words) they advertise in mags. I belive Ivor Searle do blyndensteins work now.

it aint cheap your better off doing it all together as well rather than buying carbs ect then later getting cam, pulley + bottom end work ect maybe even better off doing it too a 1600 engine
