How hard would it ba to fit A corsa Gsi engine to a nova?would i need the corsa engine and gear box mounts or could i use nova ones?Drive shafts corsa or nova?HELP?

HELP PLEASE some one must have tryed b4?tryed and managed or failed i jist wana kno aint bought engine yet thats why need too kno asap as watching one on Ebay! Cheers

gsi engine.... erm 8v or 16v?
the basic engine bolts in the same as does the gearbox, you use nova shafts though.
the rest pends your reply on 8v/16v

i presume its a 16v, seeing as its a corsa sgi engine he wants?

Yeh its a 16v dnt get 8v gsi corsas well as far as i kno!!!!!so can any one help! cheers

It fits straight in.
Use nova shafts.

Depending which 1600 16v it is, you might need the transponder chip for the immobiliser.

Do u think it would b a worth while swap?or would i b as well with C20XE?was thinkin o corsa gsi as seam to be quite quick can tune am to 150++ bhp and would handel better than c20xe with it not been so front heavie

Whatb uz think?

Didnt say needs engine as 1.2 is c*ntin slow have had 2sri's b4 seam fleet enough but not any mint ones left well up here so had to resort to buyin a 1.2 has its good points 36k miles from new o owner from new MINT or was on goin project!need to get a engine in so can get it painted

I think you should try to type tidy because your very hard to understand.

And to get 150+ bhp out of the 1600 16v lump you will need to throw quite a bit of money into it and you still wouldnt get anywhere near the same power as the XE because it has mush more torque.

a lot more work tho?prob best to just put in a xe as u say like but up in the NE of scotland their aint many kicking about and if some 1 has one they are needing way too much for it!plenty on ebay but would mean a road trip!no winning like

Fitting an Xe is a lot more work.
Need to use cav inner cv's, gte 22spline driveshafts, weld the engine bay etc.

1600 16v goes straight in and is tunable to around 200+bhp if you have plenty of money to spend :thumb:
