electrical problem.

i have a nova 1.2 merit and ever since i fitted a smooth boot my battery has been going dead, could this have something to do with removing the wiper and the water swoosher thingy because the wire for the wiper is just left hanging and the tube for the water thingy still works but it leaking into the car, is there any way i can turn this off? every time i want to use my car i have to jump it so its getting really annoyin!

are you sure the boot light aint staying on the lock might need adjusting

i dont know cos theres no bulb in the boot light ill put one in and see, never thought of that cheers mate.

Well tape up the bare wires and put a knot in the washer pipe. Ain't rocket science! Then you can see if these were causing your problem....


.....and if there is no bulb, then it won't be the light, as the circuit is not complete.

i had the same problem, just took the bulb out like austin said

i wired mine to the interior light :thumb:

musnt be the interior light as its working fine with a bulb in and goes off when i shut the boot like it should.
