fuel guage

has any one had any problems with there fuel guage readings because mine seems to read half 1 second then it drops to empty the next and the fuel light comes on and also sumtimes it just goes mad going to half then empty then half its so annoying can anyone help is it the sender knackared?

Could be the sender, or just a dogy connection to the sender.

Mine drops quickly from half way to empty and wavers around from time to time too. Overall it's not too inaccurate so I'm not bothered about fixing it.

It will vary, as it depends whether you are going up/downhill as the fuel in the tank will move to one side, altering the level.

I had this problem. i emptied the fuel tank (you decide how to do this lol)
then i put just enough fuel in to idle the engine.

then while it is running, take the fuel needle off the pin and put it back at the bottom of the red zone. this will reset the spring in the dial

i dont know why but it works every time, happened to a few people
