a friend is doing a brake conversion on his nova...its got 14" rims on.

he needs to know, would the cally 16v brakes (calipers etc) fit behind the wheels?

thanks peeps :thumb:

I assume they are bigger brakes from Cav / Astras with the ATE calipers and the 256mm discs?
If so I think I'm right in saying 14" wheels are fine, so long as they are not the 3 spoke nova alloys. If not someone will correct me!

yes they may need some slight persuasion but my friend had the 16v disc setup behind 14" GSi wheels

They dont fit behind the three spoke steel wheels, but some people say they fit behind the black Sr steel wheels.
Mine didn't tho,Lol.

A mate of mine couldnt fit his discs in the 14s (must have been bigger discs)
dont put steelies on tho because they bend when cornering causing the caliper to grind on the inside of the wheel

If the pads/discs are worn then then they probably fit behind nova 14s, but mine wouldn't fit.
My brakes were brand new and the rim wouldn't turn as it caught on the caliper.

Would 256mm discs and calipers fit under a 6J14 ET38 wheel (it is similar design to the OZ superturismo)
