does any one know what seats other than nova seats go straight into a nova? I know you will probably have to keep the frame of the nova seat in and add the actual chair to that. But what ones are easy to do and which are the ones to stay clear of.
cheers bwoys

Escort RS Turbo-spec Recaros bolt straight in without having to stick to the old Nova sub-frames.
MKI Astra GTE recaros (as well as Manta and Cav equivalents) fit too with or without using the Nova frames.
The Escort ones rule.....amazing support and comfort. Pricey though...usually.

Well...they bolt in one you drill holes in the floor......they don't use the same bolt holes etc. of the normal Nova seats, so not quite as easy as I perhaps made it sound!
The RS Turbo Recaros have four flat feet that bold straight to the floor....just line 'em up, drill the holes, and bolt 'em in.
You can fit either seat at either side too, since the driver's and passenger's seats are identical....they ever have the tip-forward switches on each side to you can fit 'em on either side of the car. The back-rest rack adjustment knob can be swapped from one side to the other too.
Expect to pay about ?300 for a decent set though!

I had the RS turbo recaros in my nova, the trick is to do what ford does with the bit the seat belt clicks in to. Have it bolted to the floor, not to the sub frame where the nova 1 is. Things went tits up for me doing it this way. They don't bolt straight in, a bit of decent welding is needed, with a bit of mix and matching of the 2 sub frames. As eybic says, be careful, I was lucky, you might not be.
