Is it a k plate catalyser model? If it is, rip the thing off.

yeh dam cat :( i was tempted to take it off but thing is i was told that the engine with a cat works with back pressure, that and it wont pass the MOT any other ideas? would a cam kit still fit the head?

Dont bother with the head porting etc.
No point on a 1200i head, unless you get it done for free.

Ye, you can fit an injector off a 1.4,1.6, 1.8 spi.
But it wont do anything apart from flood the engine.

Stick with the 1200 injector for the time being.

A nova GTE engine could be fitted for just the cost of the engine, if you and a few mates do it. About ?80 should get you the engine.
Even a garage should only probably charge ?100-?200 to fit it.

The 1.2i will take an injector from a 1.4i, but the fuel pressure needs adjusting iirc, not really worth bothering with if you can get a bigger engine in so easily
