has anyone actually re-ferbed one and put new seals in it?? if so how hard is it. no i cant afford a whole new master cylinder before someone mensions that

im sure its quite easy with a refurb kit.... but surely the cost of a refurb kit is more than a 2nd hand cylinder..

Re-furbing a M/Cyl is easy peasy, just ensure everthing is spotlessly clean, and fit the new seals with a blunt instrument, i.e not a screwdriver!! a piece of thin dia rod like welding rod with the ends rounded should do it. Check the bore for any scoring or corrosion as this will knacker new seals in no time. Most important is to keep everthing clean tho, no dirt or grit at all, if poss blow everything off with an airline.
p.s make a note of the order everything comes out in and get the seals on the right way round!:thumb:
