:roll: guys replacement cv joint covers are a waste of time:( why do they sell them???when u buy them and put them on and glue them together u drive the car down the road turn left or right then back to where u came from and then realise its split open again and uve left a trail of joint grease behind u tracking back from where uve been:eek: lol lol lol i just dont get it :mad:
never had this happened before. was it correctly fited?

lol yep 2 tightening straps each side and then glue in the split that your supposed to glue and they still split open lol:mad:
buy a non split one and do it properly then only takes 20-30 mins
yeah, i've never used splitting ones , just buy standard boots and use them .

easy if you folllow the haynes:thumb:
if you can do enough to take the wheel off you can do enough to change a cv boot properly. its only to more nuts

lol <elm park in essex> shops called mototech some car shop huh lol:mad:
jack it up, take wheel off, undo hub nut. may have to lock the brakes to do this, undo bottom ball joint nut and slide it out of the hub, then wiggle/wack the driveshaft out the hub and remove the old boot. then ya get some circlip pliers and open up the circlip which holds the cv on and slide it off, then on with the new boot and put everything back on.
