Ok guys having a problem with my nova GTE,
I was on the way to work, when i noticed that she would misfire when i put the foot down.
I thought it may have just been cause it was raining heavy last night.
So i nearly get to work turn into a junction and she just dies.
So i tried to start her again, turn over no problem but just don't want to start.
So i bought a new set of plugs but still no luck.
So i checked all the leads if i was getting a spark, i get a very slight one on cylinder 1, and 4 but nothing on the rest.
I also checked the ht lead from the coil and getting a good spark from that
I have hed the dizzy cap off and sprayed wd40 in it to see if that helps.
Any one else got any clues
maybe need new leads, not that old the ones on her at the moment.
and the dizzy and rotor were new about 6 months ago

which way did you turn at the junction? lol

if your getting a good spark from the coil to dizzy it must be something between the dizzy and spark plugs, as the spark is inconsistant i don't think its the Rotor arm, otherwise they'd all be the same, so i'd put it down to the dizzy cap, the contacts might have burnt away, or it might not be on properly as the spark for cylinder 1 and 4 are next to each other, if its not that then it must be the leads or spark plugs

found out what it was, the end of the lead from the coil had split and i was getting a spark sometimes but not others
