heater matrix q?

ok the other day i noticed my heaters had gone cold and now wont come warm at all, iv checked the cable from the warmth control and its fine, is there anyway i can check if my matrix has broken?

also if it has broken i dont suppose i can fix it with my dash in? got a full safety devices cage in and its a very big ballach to take it out to get the dash out? cheers j

Feel the pips going to and from the heater, see if both are hot.

this happened to me, i had knocked the leaver on the passenger side, where the matrix is. pull the leaver towards you see if its that

levers connected to my dial on the dash and works fine and moves perfectly, think the matrix is definatly fooked

As mentioned, check if the feed pipes are hot, its probably a dirty great airlock. I gather its not leaking (youd have noticed lol). If theyre not hot, disconnect the feed pipes and stick a hose in one of the holes and flush it through nicely to remove any **** (flushing it both ways is best). Re connect the pipes and give the main rad pipe a good squeeze a few times to get it circulating, and then run the engine with the expansion cap off until she warms up. That should do the trick!

Other option is to remove the heavy ******* thing completely lol
