Well thought it was time to get a decent run about and something that can tow my sodding trailer. So scouted about ebay. Found a listing that had ended and emailed and made a offer on the car.
Anyhow turned out car was in penzance (yes 275 miles away from me) But the price to good to turn down. (there was a hitch with this mind)

After calling the bloke up and asking a few questions i decided to take the chance and go down. The car was a P reg omega elite 3l v6.
Only problem being one head gasket needs changing which isnt a problem for me. Anyhow came to a agreement on price and even with 100 quid in deisel it looks like a good investment. receipts for over ?700 were included. Heres a few pics of the car. :thumb:

Driven isnt the word. started out at 1.30pm from brimingham.
Arrived back home and sat in my kitchen having a cuppa at around 1.30am

So a nice 12 hour round trip. Just priced up head gasket and rocker gaskets and very cheap to my amazement. Not to fussed about it being top notch gaskets as its not gonna be used on a track ect ect.

Look forward to fixing it tbh. should start work next weekend i think. might strip the head in the week ready for rebuilding it. get it skimmed and looked over. seems it hasnt gone to bad. very minimal mixing of the oil and water.

Only replacing one side then will flush it out . if the other side requires doing it can be done at a later date as it seems only 1 bank is suffering. :)

All good fun. looked at the receipts. and i was wrong first time. i have bills for over 1300 quid . alot of oil changes and filters. Also had new wishbones and cambelt change not long back ect. so some pretty major fixing. good stuff

:)
