hi Guys. I have a really crapy looking dash and it sort of light brown but a previous owner has stuck a performance sticker on it and the mark is left there. Anyway, I have just painted the compartsments in the door with airfix humbrol paint and it took really well. So I thought that maybe I could do it to my dash? Would this look crap? If so what else could I use?
Cheers

I painted the dash in my old Nova. It was cream inside, with a brown dash, but the lower parts had turned a shitty greeny brown colour with the sun!
Anyway, I painted it cream.....I know...not the best idea I ever had :O It actually looked ok,and I didn't do you whole dash...only the lower section from the line on the glove box down. The top was left brown, and I did the bit in between black!
All done with humbrol plastic-model paint!
Here's a pic: www.novabug.co.uk/NovaLInt1.jpg
Oh...yes, I did have wood trim too :O
Note the black door-handles...also painted with humbrol model paint....well, it worked, so who cares!
I loved that car...shame it was a rusty, smoky shed.

i had my whole dashboard white and one point and it looked spot on, the only problem was at nite u couldnt see where you were going for reflections lol
the other problem is that dash boards genraly get fed a diet ov sillicone dash spray once a week and mr silicone doesnt get on with mr spray paint.
make sure dash is very clean with saopy water 1st and make sure its rubbed down with wet and dry or a bumper scothbrite pad to key the surface (other wise the paint will flake off in no time)
