Just got a set of 80mm rear springs made by Coilsprings.

The lad I got them off said to ziptie them in, as otherwise they will fall out.

Is there another way to do this that is a bit safer?!

Anybody with the same springs - how have you fastened them in?

Thanks,

Rob.

The zip tie is just to stop them from falling out when the car is put on a ramp at MOT time. As with them being short, when the rear beam is allowed to move down the springs will fall out.

Another way is to bolt a strap between the beam and the car on both sides which will stop the beam before the springs pop out. Thats the MOT friendly way of doing it.

Something like a length of seatbelt?

Reckon that would do the trick?

my mate had his 'wired' where a wire was just welded through the middle of the spring.
dont no if its true!

That would probly work, but it would be a whore if you ever needed to drop the rear beam for any reason.
