Does anyone know if the from brakes from a Corsa 1.6 16v GSI will got straight on a Nova 1.3L (1988) mk1.
I have 16s so the disk wont be too big but can I just fit em straight on for them to work properly?
cheers
7im.
Ye, straight on IIRC.
I think Riggy has them on his nova, 256x20mm discs.
They will fit under the wheels fine.
the corsa brakes are 236*20mm iirc
but yes they will fit easy, but if yovue got "big" wheels then you might aswell poke decent bigger brakes on
If there off a Corsa GSi, they are 256mm, same as 16v astra etc.But 20mm thickness instead of 24mm IIRC.
Pretty good brakes.
But if you have the cash, might as well get some 288s on there :thumb:
yeah i have them on mine corsa gsi 256x20mm
there good brakes but i could tell the difference between them and normal 16v brakes

What size are standard disks then guys, will I notice a big difference?
As I have made the car a fair bit quicker and I need to stop better! It's all vigilance and reactions at the mo!
The guy selling them says they are approx 235mm by 20mm?

do you need a conversion kit for 288mm disks as you do for golfs etc?
The guy selling them says they are approx 235mm by 20mm?
If they are that size then they are probably nova gsi brakes, corsa gsi are 256mm diameter. Nova GSi are 236mm vented discs.
