Change of Wheel

Afternoon all,

I was thinking about trying to change my stearing wheel to something with stereo controls on it. Any suggestions as to which to go for and how difficult it would be?

I'm hoping that i could just change the wheel and add in the ancilliary wiring rather than have to change columns.

It would be possible but to be honest most (not all) steering wheels with stereo controls have airbags and you really dont want an airbag sat in a nova, your best bet would be to get a Vectra steering wheel with controls and remove them as they are only screwed on and you could probably add these onto your exsitsing wheel with a little modding.

then ther is the fun of wiring the controls into the stereo...... so a convertor box is needed etc

Could be fun then. i'll have a look in the scrappies at some vectra's and try and sus it out.

i'd guess that the vectra controls can be patched in with an auto leads kit.
