Isn't a smallblock an 8v? And in the Astra GTE and Cav Sri they had 2.0 8v engines

small blocks are between 1.0 and 1.4 (8 or 16v)

Since late 80's the 1.6's Are also small (date varies for different models).
Now there are a few Corsa and Astra's which have a 1.8 16v small block.

yeah the corsa C, zafira and astra's have the z18xe, which is a mega bored over stroked small block, haven't had a chance to measure up the block height, but I'm guessing it's more. Also a C16XE head won't fit on the block as the oil channels are different :(

cheers I have a small block 16sv engine now out of a cavalier I think and need to replace it soon I dont want to go down the road of mpi because I like carb I think my best option for power will be to buy a 16GTE engine and remove the injection and fit a weber 32/34?:)

best option for power would be to stay with the injection unless you go for twin 40's other wise you'll lose power.

stick t40's on then, same principle as the 32/34 just better! :)

32/34 dtml weber will loose you power from a GTe engine.
So either stick with the MPi, or go the T40 route.

4 wires really. 12V, Switched 12V, Earth and fuel pump.... easy.

Rite got it planned when I blow my current engine up I am going to get another 1600 engine and get some t40's to go on while I am at it I am going to get a Cam and a ported and polished head already got a 4 branch so should see a tidy power output then.

Cheers guys
