Jack the car up, remove the shocks and push down on the axle. They'll just fall out. :thumb:

Its easier to undo the damper to axle bolt.

Loosen the bolt with the car on the floor, then jack the car up.
Put another jack under the rear axle and take the weight of the axle
Then remove the bolt completely, and lower the jack holding the axle, lever the damper out the axle mounting point, then push the axle down and the spring should fall out.

your all missing one very important factor here...

The cups of Tea, dam it.

Rear springs are really easy peasy lemon squeezy fella, U will only need a 17mm socket and rachet. oh and a jack poss some axel stands to be safe :D Remeber don't put the axel stands under the rear beam as you will need movement on that to release the springs. and do one side at a time. Just makes life easier pal :D

Nooo, its much more fun to undo the top mounts and then jack the car up centrally on a bit of wood to protect the floor, and then listen for the 'ping' lol lol

twas thinking of just undoing the bolts at the top of the turrets, then lift the car up so the shocks drop down, then pull the springs out?

really dont think its gonna be driveable with no springs, lol

anyway, its not a case of wanting to have fun, its a case of having to get the springs off the car

IMO it would be easier to undo the axle bolts like Long Live The Nova suggested earlier. It might have just been me, but the tops were tricky/annoying to undo. Much easier to undo a stubborn bolt and torque it up afterwards.

Yep, stick with undoing the bottom bolt, for the tops you will have to grip the piston whilst undoing the nut.
Easier to do the bottom bolt.
