View Full Version : XEV into nova 1.0 shell...
Okies, before anybody moans and says xe's are better blah blah I've already got an xev from an omega which is sitting here doing naff all and i'm tempted to give a shell a good home. . .
Whats needed to fit an XEV into a nova.
Will it be identical to the xe conversions?
How many cups of tea would be consumed during the conversion and how would I go about making a cheese and bacon toastie?
Pah, Xe's aren't better!
Exactly the same as a Xe conversion.
Probably about 5-10 cups of tea, depending how much you like tea. ;) Lol
0 cups of teas to be precise
in real terms it will be 5 bottles off lucozade and 5 bottles of coke :thumb:
10 cup of coffee for me lol
gaz, if ya want a hand, give us a shout :)
This could be interesting then :D
Ste . . . I love you...
It is harder as you need to work around the built in standard immobilser fitted to the XEV which isnt such a problem as you have the omega donor, you need to remove the transponder ring which connects around the igintion barrel, take the chip out the key and tape this to the reader and then remove as much wiring from the plug on the sender and then wire this into the loom going into ECU. Sounds pretty straight forward but it is an ****. You can get the Immob removed from the ECU but this is costly.
You will need either a F16-20 gearbox but stay away from the hydrlic ones which some people try and fit. The engines in themselves arent bad but as you know watch the gaskets.
