Rip all the 1.2 ecu wiring out, you will need the 1.4SR mini loom that goes to the ign coil.

Hi mate I just converted mine from 1.2spi to 1.6carb virtually the same as the 14sr,
All I done with mine was to take the 1.2spi out put the 1600 in and ran the engine off the original 1.2spi coil and distribitor.
Also you will need the change the tank to one without a pump in because the pump is too high pressure for the carb and I dont think an adjustable fuel pressure regulator will hold the pressure unless you spend ??. I have one for sale if your intrested pm me?
Also you will need to join the end of your throttle cable to the throttle cable coming from the carb because they have different ends unless you source a throttle cable from a breakers I joined mine with an electrical clip and it still fine.
You will also need to have the engine roling road tuned to get the timing bang on if using the spi distribitor to see the best gains.
What help "long live the nova" gives you should be listned too helped me alot with my conversion ;)

ps, just plug the wires from the 1.2spi engine loom there arnt many of them where they go respectivley on the 14sr engine ie alternator, starter motor, gearbox earth and just tuck the wires you dont use away somewhere just incase you need to change it back in an emergency ;) , the redundant wires should only realy be the plug going onto the spi unit and the lambda sensor wires.
If you are going to fit a k&n just blank off the vacum pipes which come out of the carb manifold just below the carb.
Hope this helps
