And the rear beam..

Nice uprated bushes on the beam in good nick by the look of it, Looks like the shock mounts are relocated as well, not sure wether it will be to my advantage or not until i get the old one off and compare them. Meh, it was free, so who cares lol
I want to go out and fit them but jesus its cold out there!!!!!
Sorry about the pic quality, i really miss my old phone!
Look cool, get them fitted!
So i was right about the "moddedness" of the beam then? w00t.
Looks nice
Nice and sexy.. Have you turreted the rear arches yet?

Hopefully if the weathers nice, ill get out tomorrow and see what needs to be done to them. one of our regular track guys at PVG had 2.25" spax coilovers on the back, and only needed mild 'hammer' mods to get them in, and adding spacers to the wheels. I run 32 offset so im hoping it will only need a tap with Timmy.
Proofs in the pudding, i know every shell is slightly different.
Brakes will be going on too, so ill be pretty much ready for the season, despite almost bald tyres, but hell, sliding is fun lol
Hows the F20 going? Still running sweet?
Also what is the open and closed lengths of your coil overs?
Question 1. That gearbox is a belter mate, still coping with all the abuse! I might treat it to a diff soon!
Question 2. I havent got a clue, i just know they came off a tarmac rally nova. :-)
Good box mate.. It put up with me driving it for a fair few miles and never gave up on me lol...
Thats fair enough on the other one... Where did you get them from?
A guy called Charles Campbell in Scotland. He was proof that posting wanted ads on forums do work LOL
do you actually need to turret the rear to fit coilovers?
cheers, lew
AVO's are 1.9", i believe they go in with a bit of mild malleting, Also 2.25" spax with no adjustable ride height (shorter spring) go in with a bit more mild malleting and some wheel spacers if your running the optimum 49mm offset.
Mine are 2.25" spax with adjustable ride height. Im not holding out much hope, but ill report back tomorrow on the verdict.

good luck bottlethroddy hope not to much work to fit
looks like i'll buy avo's when i can one day.
Got the fronts on ok, with a bit of modding to the top of the turrets to take the slightly oversize heavy duty top mounts, and got all the brakes on.
Unfortunately the previous owner has come back to haunt me AGAIN with a nice mutilated brake hose joint which will need grabbing with a set of moleys (which I hate). T'other side is untouched so he must have rounded one side off and given up. Muppet.
Didnt get a chance to look at the rears though, that will have to wait till Tuesday or next sunday.
The Fast show is looming and i still need to visit Novatec for a few days
