Ok, after todays fun and games with trying to get the fuel pump working, I have tried to start the XE for the first time.

She will fire, but only on easy start.

The plugs are dry as a bone = no fuel getting through.

I have got the fuel line going into the fuel pressure regulator side of the fuel rail (left when looking at the engine), then the right side of the fuel rail is going back to the tank.

Is this the right way round?

Any other common problems with fuel getting into an XE?

Thanks,

Rob.

youve got them on the wrong way round. Feed to the end of rail then regulator to tank

The job of the regulator is to hold pressure in the fuel rail. This is why it is on the exit.

Thats what I thought, but to double check, I rang Just Nova's who said they should be the other way round (wrong!).

Never mind - sorted in the end - started first time this morning with the lines swapped over!
