Put a 20XE in the Nova, and everything is about right now, apart from the wiring.

Cant get the new fuel pump to come on at all.

Checked the pump; works fine.

The only wiring I have done is connect the starter motor and battery, and it turns over fine.

Ecu is connected to loom.

Next to the ECU there are a few wires on random block connectors, two red and blue wires, one thicker, one thinner, assume the thicker is the fuel pump wire.

I have connected the thick wire to the red / blue wire that comes out the Nova fuse box. - But it doesnt work.

Bit confused about what else needs connecting.

Anybody around Nottingham / Bramcote area with any knowledge fancy popping round????

Need to get the car running ASAP!

Thanks in advance.

Rob.

Right.... The ECU was mounted on the passenger side under the glovebox. Find the red/blue trace wire on the passenger side of the car which runs from the rear (fuel pump). Wire this directly to the red/Blue trace on the connector next to the main ecu plug on the xe loom (the one on its own).

Then there should be a black wire on the xe loom near the dizzy/coil which needs a switched ignition.

ANy more probs, post them up!!! :thumb:

exactly as he said, there shudnt be a problem then, divert past the fuse box just go direct with an inline fuse if needs be?

Use a 20A inline fuse for the fuel pump.

It was this wire which wasn't connected.

Thanks Austin.

Fuel pump works fine now!

Sorted! Nearly ready for ragging then?
