Rear number plate.

For the MOT you need to have your rear number plate illuminated, however where i have flushed my boot and smoothed my rear bumper i do not knw where i can put it where one of those lights can be with it any suggestions?

you can buy bolts with little lights i would of though you could use

Very funny this should come up now as Monday night I got pulled by the police and he asked me "Do I know why he is pulling me over" I said no and he explained it was because I need to have a light illuminating my number plate although I havent been pulled over before about it.

I am wondering what light to get also I have heard of those little bolt ones as mentioned??

yes thairs a nice corsa round my way that has them little bolt led lights as his number plate light. from what i can see when he drives past it lights up the plate as good as an ornginal plate light. Heres a link for the led bolts

im sure you can buy lights for number plates that point onto the number plate itself, like neon washer jets but white.

or maybe just put white washer jets on lol

That was going to be my suggestion - surely the bolt lights are a total waste of time as they don't point at the number plate..! And you're not supposed to have rear facing white lights (except reverse light) afaik.

If you want to be REALLY clever you could try to fix up a backlit plate. I think some TVRs came with them...

It always amuses me the number of people who smooth their boots and just stick the plate on the bumper without lighting it up :roll: lol

i have one of these! but i have a recess in my bumper! if i was you i would put a recess in as it makes the car look ten times better imo

Got mine sorted went down my local car shop and bought some "Point lights" it said a tint of blue on the packet but they are infact totally blue, I have attached them to eitherside of the number plate will post some pictures up.

I still bet the law will try to get me because they are not white but if they try I will be getting arrested lol.
