Bought another Nova that is :wall:, however the new one is literally concourse compared to my last. lol
Not got any official pics yet, but I can tell you that it did a low 9 around the ring in it's original guise :D So that kind of narrows it down of which one it is ;)
The new engine will be throttle bodied (not quite as powerfull as the last one) and I can't afford a SCCR box this time lol.
Sad thing is I only finnished off selling all of the parts for the nova last month :cry: :cry: :cry:

sounds good mate, i did that, told myself i werent gonna have another so i sold everything off then went and bought one lol :wtf:
This ones going to be mega budget.. Spent about 600 so far and have a decent shell, engine. Suspensions coming from anothe nova of mine :roll: and going to do a mega buget TB conversion too :D
I'm guessing its white and has black MO's?

Ive got 3 sets fo cav gsi rims that I'm going to spray matt black or possibly antharacite... Or see how low james is prepared to go on the MO's lol

there was a wisewood smiley, of a dancing monkey, this was created because when we set up the board wise moaned that the post icons to the left werent flashy enough and he was skitted for being an IT geek with gay hair and stupid ties and if it was up to him the post icons would be dancing monkeys

It was definatly the best handleing XE nova i was in at the ring, and me and Jon did a 8.55 min lap! Absolute awsome, the memories will be with me forever :)

What that car proved is that with a stock xe and not all that much money you can build yourself a very fast car, for road and track, I loved it and I will miss it
the next step on that car was going to involve 6-8k and just as I was about to spend that I found something else more suited to what I want to spend my money on :)

Heres the plan/ish
It wil ba big blocked, an then it will have a 16XE, and possibly a 14XE after that lol (motorsport reasons). The shell hasn't got any brakes however looking into it. Borrowing some 16v ones then going to have a look at some 4 pots off of a volvo 240 estate (yes I know they're volvo lol).
Budget is the aim of the game with this one. Bought the shell, pirspex, driveshafts and drop mount kit for a very reasonable price. I'm borrowing an XE and a set of brakes. Steeling suspension and ARB's etc from other novas of mine and I have a set of bucket seats from the E30 BMW.
I'd like to get it logbooked, so full weld in rollcage turreted back end, flocked dash, quaife style shifter. Coil overs and currently designing a rose-jointed front end and having thoughts about IRS for the back end... Bit of a pipedream ATM

Hope you dont mind me posting up before coming to get it but really couldn't help myself lol.. Not posting on mig as everyone seems to be nova haters over there.
No problem at all mate, Its nice to know people appreciated it.
I got more respect on passion ford with it than on Mig lol, maybe too many people on mig have been beaten byt so many novas thats there reason for not liking them lol

It was spot on mate. What box did you have in it? Did'nt spend long in 1st or 2nd?

The XE was cool for pulling up along side porches (and had some fun with a 355) But it just looked too bad for day to day use.
The new one will probably get trailered everywhere though.
Jonlem has got a very sweet sounding Mk2 Escort with a 400Bhp YB ;)

im on 308mm disks mate! with different brackets! i think the holes are way too far apart to match the std vaux ones! if you are going for 308mm disks aswell i can draw around the mount and send it to you if you want?
my calipers are re built ones, as said tho they seem to keep leaking, only things i can think of doing are checking the nipple seat and putting ptfe tape on the nipple thread!
i have heard they stop very well once working!!
