basically you can get anything you like out of an engine, BMW had 1000bhp from a 1.5litre engine back in the day.

How much you gonna spend on the thing?? I got a 1.2 and I supposedly puts out 54bhp. I wouldn't bother adding an air filter and exhaust etc, just thrash it til it blows up and fit an sr block or a 1.6 astra 8v! I think this is from the A series of engines that the 1.2 is based on. Or just buy a GTE.....

Good point - this way you can have fun and thrash the engine and not worry about staining it or blowing it. Just dont wrap the car around a tree. lol
