Yet more xe problems....

right, it fires up... but then just dies, unless i keep the revs up

ecu light stays off... any idea's?

Are you getting enough fuel up there? Do you have a dizzy or dispac? dose the ECU light come on with the ignition and then go out or just never come on?

its a dizzy, yea, ecu light comes on then goes off

Well it should be running right but obviously not.

If you give it loads of rev's does it run or does it cut out as well? EG does it just cut out on tickover?

Err sorry just re read the original post, check all your vacum pipes and make sure the ICV is working right.

I will go for air leak.. dies it fire straight back up again, after it cuts out? Check the seal around the SFFI box to TB and the pipe that runs from the SFI to the air filter...
