hey guys just a quick 1, where's the cheapest place i can get a backbox put put on i.e old 1 off new 1 on?? coz the cheapest iv been quoted so far is 80 quid, seems a bit steep. cheers

Do it yourself, will take 20 Mins and you can buy one for about ?9 from an exhaust suppliers.

ive got the new backbox sittin in my shed but have tried and failed doing it myself. i have a str8 piece of pipe but have no way of bending it, so preferably need to take it somewhere to get the job done properly. is there anywhere that will do it for cheap?

You obviously have the wrong piece as you shouldnt have to bend the metal and no fitter would do this, only manufacturers would bother with this.

its because the backbox is universal, i picked it up off ebay and i need a pipe which joins onto the mid section, then to the backbox at the other end, but with the pipe str8 the box won't come out in the right place so it needs a bend

I had similar problem with fitting a universal back box. Don't bother trying to bend a piece of pipe, it will more than likely just crease up due to the angle u need to get back box sitting properly. I got round it by offering the new exhaust into place and working out what angle bend i needed and pipe diameter. Then going to see exhaust fitters and having a rummage through old exhaust bin. normally its the boxes or ends of pipe that rust out so you should be able to find a suitable, sound section of pipe that'll do the job. You can use outer diameter from stock back box as a guide to diameter as this sleeves inside next section of exhaust. Failing that if you dont want to do the job yourself you need to go to an exhaust specialist with the kit to bend 50+mm pipe.
