Hey i have an ecu from a 1.4 corsa ecotec engine and was pondering with seeing what it would do to my car perhaps increase performance so if anyone knows if it will damage my nova it will be apppreciated

err, no. A cars ECU is tailored to run that particular engine, so it would do a lot more harm than good, even if you could plug it into the loom (which im pretty sure you couldnt) and if the engine would even start (which im pretty sure it wouldnt).

that would undoubtably (sp?) not work. As said your engine would'nt even start. Altought i have heard of people changing the 1.2 throttle body and injector for one out of a 1400 spi. Never heard any evidence that this is worthwhile though.

1.2 and 1.4spi throttle bodys are exactly the same, and a 1.4 injector would just flood the engine.

You can use a 1.8 cav throttle body on a 1.6astra spi inlet manifold. As they are bigger than the 1.2/1.4, dont know how much gain this would give tho.
