bonnet vent

i am going fitting a gt4 vent to my bonnet.
how do i go about cuttin the bonnet ,do i leave the braces under the bonnet or can i cut them. how do i keep the vent on and stop it flexin and cracking the filler which smoothes it to the bonnet. would gripfill do or fibreglass?? please help

erm..... use a little piece of blutack in each corner and then get some double sided sticky tape(the really thin stuff, so that you can't see it!!) and just laster the entire thing in tape!!!
