Just need to know if a K reg Spin is carb or injection? A few features say "1.2i" and some don't but I'd just like to know for sure.

id say injection..... the carbs were phased out in 1992ish

I'd say injection, but there are a couple of K reg 1.4SR's which are carbed so its possible your 1.2 could be too.

This is a carb engine bay:

...can't find a pic of an injection bay at the mo

I have a 1.2 carb Merit with a crap engine (see Technical section :P) and was offered a 1.2 engine out of a K reg Nova Spin. Just wondering if it was also carb and so would be a simple replacement.

Is there's a tell-tale sign to see if the engine is carb/injection?

Theres K-reg 1400SRs, MK2's.

iainel-If the top of the air box has three bolts its a carb engine, if it has two bolts its a SPI engine.

My nova is a 1200 Spin, and its SPI.
This is my engine bay, yours probably wont look quite the same, but you can see the two bolts on top of the throttle body:-

Nice one :D I'll check tomorrow and find out what it is. Hopefully it will be a carb, I guess the injection wouldn't be as easy to drop in (???)

What reg is it?
If its J-reg its likely to be a carb engine, but some late j-reg and all K-reg will be SPI.

Sam aka Mad Driver has a K-reg MK2 1.4Sr on here :)

The car in question is a K reg. The chance of it being a carb seems slim. :(
