Side Strips...

My Nova SRs side plastic strip things are held on by little brackets which can be removed but leave a small rivit which sticks out and looks stupid! so is the only way to get these off angle grind them? how do i do it smoothly?? will i need to fill in the marks left by the angle grinder with body filler? cheers Ad

its a bit of a mission mate, i would recomend buying new doors without the rivets on.

all the main structural integrety is in those bits that stick out, if ya in a crash car will just crumble

lol u must have early sr then
u need to grind em and smooth over with filler

new doors will still leave the back quarters and wings to be done as well

I had those stupid rivet things on my old A-reg (1.2 L).....I just left the strips on.....not a prob for me then though, 'cos I wanted it to look like an SR.
