removing barrel without key

how can i remove the ignition barrel if i don't have the key? i know your suppose to turn the key two clicks etc before it pops out etc but surely it can be removed without a key someway, else what do people do if they loose there keys totally. by the way part of the key is now stuck in the ignition and steering lock on.

can no one help? i have the new ignition coming tommorow and my mate needs his car for work. :?

other than smashing the fook out of it theres not much you can do. may be easier to change the column

id just take the cap out from the back and use a screwdriver so that ya m8 can get 2 work.

then relace the column

and for the steering lock... lol


just cut the barrel off and replace start cap with a switch and button
