hi guys bought a bog standard gsi thinking of modding it mainly to the engine first thing im thinking of doing is getting it chipped but is it worth doing 300 quid for a couple of horses ive seen i few gsi/gtes chipped that dont make a big gain on the rolling road let me know think or gains u have seen on your gsi/gte cheers

i too wouldnt ever buy a chip for an engine, for less you can get a whole programable management system that you can reset everytime you add new parts ect..
ebay chip? :lol: sorry only messing..... think you might be better off looking at a different angle as ?300 for a chip to give 5hp or so seems a waste
you would be better off doing engine upgradres, ie, cam, fueling, head, flywheel, vernier pulley, etc, then myabw use the chip afterall that!
A Chip would probably lose you performance tbh... IF you see any gains, you will lose out in other areas.
For ?300 get a set of carbs.
