right my mates ignition key broke while at the petrol station last night and thats still where it is coz we carn't steer it to his house accross the road due to the steering lock. we left it there thinkin why nacker the barrel by tryin to ram the two parts of the key in (would this work?) so decided to wait and get a key cut today, just had a phone call sayin the two new keys he had cut (at two different shop) don't work.

basically need a way of releasing the steering lock with the least damage possible so we can push it accross the road.
pm me if you'd prefer.
cheers

Has the key broke flush with the barrel, or is there a bit sticking out from the barrel?

the key never broke in the barrel, it broke when he was taking off the petrol cap, so he still has both peices.

cheers for the help but the key had snapped off a little peice at the end.
tried the new key for ages but didn't work, tried putting the origional two parts of the key in just by fluke but no chance.
ended up gettin a few lads and pickin the car up when we needed to turn and rolled it to his house.
